We supply a mix of Australian hardwoods depending on what we are removing at the time. Common species include ironbark, spotted gum, blackbutt, brush box, and other dense eucalyptus varieties. All are excellent burning timbers with high heat output.
We supply both seasoned and recently split firewood. Seasoned wood is ready to burn immediately. If you buy green firewood at a reduced price, we recommend stacking it under cover for three to six months before burning for the best results.
For a typical Sydney household using a fireplace a few times a week through winter, one to two cubic metres is usually plenty. If you use a wood-burning heater daily, plan for three to four cubic metres. We are happy to advise based on your setup.
